Paola Ferrario is an internationally recognized artist and Guggenheim fellow who uses photography and other means of mechanical reproduction to re-define ordinary environments and subjects.Her work is in the collections of several institutions among which the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Smithsonian Museum of American History in Washington, D.C. Nayana LaFond is a full time artist, artivist and art organizer who resides in western Massachusetts. Nayana sits on several boards including, but not limited to, Artist Organized Art, Be The Change and The Native Youth Empowerment Foundation. Nayana is a multi-disciplinary artist who’s work can be seen in galleries and museums around the world and her current series of paintings “MMIP (Missing and Murdered Indigenous People) Painting Project” has a touring exhibition starting in 2022 and has a full exhibition schedule for the next 4 years. Nayana has been a curator for over 15 years including being the original Chief Curator for the Whitney Center for the Arts. www.nayanaarts.com
Jupong Lin is a Taiwan-born interdisciplinary artist-researcher, writer and educator working to shift climate colonialism through culturally-responsive contemplative arts. Her installations and community performances blend paper-folding, poetics, story circle and qigong to activate personal and systemic transformation for climate justice and community resilience. As a de/colonizing artist and ceremonial activist, JuPong is dedicated to reclaiming ancestral traditions and language liberation. Her workshops cultivate kinship between our beloved 地球 (earth), Land, human and nonhuman Beings. JuPong is a PhD candidate in the Environmental Studies program at Antioch University New England and a faculty member of the MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts (MFAIA) program at Goddard College for over 15 years. Joseph Krupczynski is a professor of architecture and the director of Civic Engagement and Service Learning (CESL) at UMass Amherst. He is also one of the founding directors of the Center for Design Engagement (CDE)—a non-profit community art/design resource center in Holyoke MA. As a public artist and designer, his creative work explores spatial justice, Latinx identity, and restorative creative place-making as he builds participatory platforms for meaningful engagement—especially in collaboration with underrepresented communities. https://www.umass.edu/architecture/member/joseph-krupczynski
